[OTR-users] OTR and Portable Pidgin Fatal Errors

Recently I have been encountering a major problem with pidgin portable. This
problem is complete software shutdown when receiving sending a files via
AIM.

I use pidgin to communicate with collies, costumers and friends and our
conversations are mostly OTR-Private. I've been using OTR for about a month
now and it works as advertised. I love it. Which is why I would hate if I
were to have to let it go. I come here in hopes of finding a solution and
hopefully giving back to the OTR community by reporting a valid bug.

This installation if of Pidgin Portable 2.6.3 with OTR 3.2.0 directly on a
Netbook running Windows XP.

I've done some troubleshooting myself and here is what I've found.

-Since the OTR Menu and Icon item found on the IM window menu-bar serves is
purpose flawlessly, I've unchecked the OTR UI >>> Show OTR button in toolbar
option. For me it only takes much needed space.

When that option is unchecked:

I start Pidgin as usual and login. Now when I open a IM windows the
following Fatal Error shows up on the Debug Window. -It doesn't matter if
the conversation is tabbed or not- Each new IM window you open will report
the following error.

*Gtk: gtk_container_remove: assertion `GTK_IS_TOOLBAR (container) ||
widget->parent == GTK_WIDGET (container)' failed*

Now if I were to go to the Plugins/OTR Option and check the OTR UI >>> Show
OTR button in toolbar option, the following Fatal errors are reported. [This
also happens if I were to start Pidgin with the OTR UI >>> Show OTR button
in toolbar option uncheck and were to go and chec- it]

*Gtk: gtk_widget_set_sensitive: assertion `GTK_IS_WIDGET (widget)' failed
Gtk: gtk_widget_set_sensitive: assertion `GTK_IS_WIDGET (widget)' failed
Gtk: gtk_widget_set_sensitive: assertion `GTK_IS_WIDGET (widget)' failed
Gtk: gtk_widget_set_sensitive: assertion `GTK_IS_WIDGET (widget)' failed
*

Moreover doing this seems to reloads all load correctly but perl.dll fails
to do so. The file is there so I don't know why this happens.

~\perl.dll is not loadable: The specified module could not be found.

Also

*wpurple:* Could not open reg key 'HKLM' subkey
'SOFTWARE\ActiveState\ActiveTcl\'.
Message: (2) The system cannot find the file specified.
*wpurple:* Could not open reg key 'HKCU' subkey
'SOFTWARE\ActiveState\ActiveTcl\'.
Message: (2) The system cannot find the file specified.

The tcl.dll files is present too under the plugin directory

Again, this errors only show when checking and unchecking the OTR UI >>>
Show OTR button in toolbar option.

Any help and tips will be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
