I think this is because of the Oscar protocol instead of the regular AIM
protocol or something like that. I had the same problem. You need to
find the part where it says prpl-oscar and replace it with prpl-aim. Or
the other way around, i forget which, but it would be easy to figure out
when browsing the fingerprint file. Just find someone that under the
Adium you know you verified, but is not showing up as verified in
pidgin. The value in Adium is the one you have to search and replace for
it to work in pidgin.
