Hello,

I've been trying to chase down this problem for about a week, and I'm
getting no closer to a solution. I'm really new to OTR so it's
entirely probable that I'm missing something really obvious, but any
help would be greatly appreciated :-)

I've been able to set up and use OTR really successfully on Adium, but
whenever I've tried to do it using Pidgin on Whonix, I'm getting the
following error message whenever I tried to send a message to somebody:

(15:07:41) The following message received from mrfakename at dukgo.com
was not encrypted: [?OTR:?

Everything after that in the error message appears to be the encrypted
version of the message, rather than the plaintext I was expecting.

I've been trying to find the solution, but I've no idea what could be
causing it. The OS is fully updated, I have the latest version of
Pidgin and I've downloaded the most recent version of OTR.

Can anybody else point me in the direction of the solution please, I'd
really like to people to use this. :-)

Many thanks

Mousey
