Indeed, that was a cool demo.

If an adversary is physically attacking your endpoint *while you're
typing your messages*, you're probably toast.  But OTR does protect you
from an adversary attacking the network (in real time), or your endpoint
(after the fact), which is pretty much all one could expect.
