I'm not sure how OTR Proxy could know that an IM client had made a
direct connection to someone, ignoring the proxy settings.

There is a bug database on sourceforge, but I'm afraid otrproxy isn't
really getting much attention right now, since none of the developers
use OS X.  :-(
