Humm,<br>

While I agree that OTR is a very good encryption program for IM's, the<br>
idea of making it available only to Jabber in order to force/pressure<br>
people to adopt Jabber is repulsive.<br>
<br>
I for one do not use Jabber, and have no plans to do so. Were Jabber<br>
able to exert pressure on people to adopt their IM, and attempt to put<br>
the other IM's out of business for lack of use, I would rather do<br>
without than be forced/pressured to use Jabber.<br>

I don't personally have anything against Jabber, but I am satisfied<br>
with the IM's I presently use.<br>

The main reason I replied to this message is because the idea of<br>
forcing one's belief's onto others, who do not wish to be forced into<br>
believing has become so prevalent today. Example --> the nazi-con<br>
(more commonly known as neo-con, but nazi-con is a far more accurate<br>
description) idea of FORCING "Democracy" on whatever country they want<br>
to exploit (BTW, the con in nazi-con/neo-con DOES NOT stand for<br>
Conservative! The nazi-con's are in fact trotskites (sp?), in other<br>
words they are ideological heirs of Trotsky).<br>

| Absolutely...in fact it assuradly works best. This brings me to a<br>
| point I was just making to a buddy, since OTR is always doing weird<br>
| glitchy things like trying to encrypt to him, even though he's not<br>
| using OTR right now: it's too bad OTR wasn't implemented as just a<br>
| Jabber extension, because it would also help put pressure on people<br>
| to ditch non-Jabber IM systems. Oh well...enjoy OTR. It rules.<br>
